With stunning line work and graphic color of simple black against white, Picasso expresses the beautiful form of the bird while highlighting its majestic quality which is what makes the work so captivating.
Created in 1947, this lithograph on wove paper is hand signed by Pablo Picasso (Malaga, 1881- Mougins, 1973) in pencil in the lower left and numbered from the edition of 50. In addition the work is dated in the stone in the upper left, ‘20.1.47’.
