Historical Description

Vlaminck Bouquet de fleurs (Bouquet of Flowers), 1955 is a still-life, color heliograuvure depicting a blue vase of flowers within a dark room. Expressive brush strokes of white and red form the impression of rose petals and other flowers. The background is darkly colored, deliberately so, to sufficiently emphasize the bouquet’s coloring.
