Bold hues of coral and yellow highlight an exquisite female dancer in Marc Chagall Dancing, 1972. She bows her head forward and raises her right hand, inviting us to join her in her dance. Within this harmonious composition, we witness Chagall's iconic imagery: a man holding a rooster to the left and two topsy-turvy birds in the lower center. These two birds, strategically placed, almost appear as the dancer's legs as they gaze out, wide-eyed and attentive. Placed against a soft blue background, this dancer appears as the epitome of beauty and grace, as she transports us to an ethereal world of carefree fancy.

Created in 1972, this original color lithograph is numbered from the edition of 50 in pencil in the lower left margin and hand signed by Marc Chagall (Vitebsk, 1887 - Saint-Paul, 1985) in pencil in the lower right margin. This work was published by Maeght, Paris.
