Relaying a sense of celebration and joy, this large, vibrantly colored print instantly commands the attention of a room. In a whimsical frenzy of line and color shades of blue, green, orange, and red appear as if airbrushed on, with brighter, thicker applications of color in the center and lighter specks of color towards their outer rims, as if they are surrounded in a soft halo of color. Black lines race around the canvas speaking to Miró's private language of stars and figures. One finds it difficult to focus on a single component of this wonderfully captivating work, as each figure appears strikingly unique yet interacts perfectly with those around it.
Created in 1967, this work is hand signed in pencil by Joan Miró (Barcelona, 1893 - Palma, 1983) in the bottom right margin and numbered from the edition of 75 (from the total edition of 75 numbered and signed prints plus some artist's proofs) in pencil in the lower left margin. This work was published by Maeght éditeur, Paris and printed by Arte Adrien Maeght, Paris.
