Created in 1978, Tres Joans (Three Joans), 1978, is an etching and aquatint on Arches paper that was produced for a book of poems by Joan Brossa, in homage to Joan Prats. Hand-signed by Joan Miró (1893 – 1983) in pencil in the lower right, this work is numbered from an edition of 99 in the bottom left. There was an additional edition of 15 marked H.C. and numbered from I to XV, and another edition of 10, marked P.A. and numbered from I to X. It was printed by Morsang, Paris and published by Polígrafa, Barcelona.
