Andy Warhol Truck, 1985 FS II.370 is part of a portfolio of four similar screenprints created for the 20th World Congress of International Road Transportation Union (IRU). This congress is held each year to find economically and environmentally friendly solutions to improve mass transportation in the European Union. This work features the darkest color palette of the four, with an inky black background offset by neon blue outlining and a sliver of hot pink. The result is an incredibly captivating work that draws the viewer in. The screenprint is full of classic Warhol elements, from his unusual outlining technique to his instantly recognizable color-blocking. Using a truck as his focus, Warhol presents this everyday unimportant object as something special and worth looking at, something Warhol did throughout his career.

Created in 1985, this color screenprint on Lenox Museum Board is hand signed by Andy Warhol (Pittsburgh, 1928 - New York, 1987) and numbered from the edition of 60, aside from fifteen artist's proof sets, in pencil in the lower right image. Published by Hermann Wünsche, Bonn, Germany, with the artist's copyright inkstamp on the reverse.
